There Was Before...And Then There Was After
You know exactly what we're talking about.
It doesn't always start with a dramatic moment. Sometimes it is simply an accumulation. Fatigue you dismiss as stress or laziness, a pain that you live with, a test that comes back slightly off. Your body was sending signals.
But you pushed through, looked the other way.
And then, one day, a prescription. A diagnosis. You became "that person: a person with a condition.
And with the label, comes a question most people ask themselves. "is this really what it's going to look like from no on?
We know that moment. We've lived it ourselves, and we've heard it from hundreds of people who sat across from us over the years. What we've learned is that in far more cases than most people realize, the answer is no.
Your body knows how to heal if given the right conditions.
This retreat exists for people who want to know what those conditions are. And how to bring them into real life.
If this speaks to you, we're glad you found us. We'd love to see you in Spetses
"I had no idea that the first twenty minutes of my morning would be so important for how much energy I would have for the rest of the day. Now I walk outside barefoot with sunlight on my face. I can't explain it, but my energy is better. And that was just one small change I learned. So grateful."
Orna Cohen, 67, Israel

YOUR HOSTS
Growing Older. Refusing to Act Old
Jody and Yaron didn't read about longevity and decide to teach it. They lived it first, in clinics across Canada, Japan, Israel, and Europe, then in their own bodies, testing every idea before they trusted it enough to pass on.
They're not interested in chasing symptoms. A symptom is just the body raising its hand. Sixty combined years of practice taught them to look past the hand and find what's actually out of balance. This retreat is that lesson, distilled for anyone who accepts aging but refuses to get old.

Dr. Jody Toyonaga-Fink
At twenty, I began studying optometry at the University of Waterloo. I loved learning how the body works and how interconnected our body systems are.
Twelve years later, I had two children, a thriving clinic, and a life that looked successful...from the outside.
Yet I was exhausted.
Not ordinary tiredness. The kind of exhaustion that made me struggle to stay awake at red lights.
My doctor ran tests. Everything came back normal. "You're healthy," he said.
But I didn't feel healthy.
Maybe you know that feeling. Not sick enough to receive a diagnosis, but not well enough to fully enjoy your life. Wondering how much of what you're experiencing is simply aging—and how much might actually be within your power to change.
That question sent me on a decades-long journey through nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and the science of healthy aging.
And today, I am happy to say that I have more energy and vitality than I did at thirty-five.
This retreat brings together the most important lessons from that journey, giving you practical tools to improve your energy, clarity, and health—without spending years searching for answers on your own.
Yaron Fink
In 1987, I went to Japan to train in martial arts, and there, for the first time, I encountered the wisdom of the East and the traditions of Japanese medicine.
That encounter changed my life.
I was looking for depth and knowledge from the source, and I found it with a remarkable teacher/monk who wove together Eastern medicine, Buddhist practice, and modern psychology in a way I had never known before. I stayed for seven years, and returned with a body of knowledge that was uniquely my own, and a certification as both a practitioner and a teacher.
Before Japan, there was twenty years of judo at the national level. What drew me was never about winning over someone else, it was the discipline of daily self-improvement. Gradual, and not always easy.
Because of judo, when I discovered Qigong years later, my body already knew the movements. Today I am also a certified Qigong teacher, and it is an essential and integral part of my work.
In the United States, I deepened my knowledge about anatomy while training under Thomas Myers, one of the world’s most influential researchers in fascia and connective tissue, a subject that sits at the heart of this retreat.
When someone walks into the clinic, my first reaction is not to ask questions.
I try to be present, to sense what the person wants to tell me without words. The verbal story comes after. I listen carefully, but I have learned over the years that the body and the soul often carry a different story than the one the mind has found words for.
My job, as I see it, is to hear them both.
Twenty-five years of practice. Thousands of patients. And always the same intention: how can I help the person that life has brought to me today.

WHAT YOU TAKE HOME
Practical, lived knowledge of a healthy lifestyle — and a deeply enriched perspective on a vital future.
Not a set of rules. A way of understanding your body that allows you to make better decisions — forever.

WHERE & WHEN
Spetses, Greece. Where the Aegean meets the Argolic Gulf
The island of Spetses sits at the southern tip of the Argolid Peninsula in the Peloponnese, directly across the water from the island of Spetses. It is a place the ancient Greeks chose to live near for reasons they couldn't fully articulate — but which environmental science and wellbeing research can now begin to explain.
Clean air. Clean water. Extended light. The acoustic stillness of the sea. A landscape that invites slow walking and deep breathing. The location is not incidental to the retreat. It is part of what you're learning.
